Custom Woodshop

Beyond our custom timber benchtops, furniture and doors, the Mooloo Timber Co. woodshop creates a wide range of custom timber features for homes across the Gympie, Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay regions.

From timber screens, vanities and bookshelves to floating shelves, fireplace mantels, feature panels, one-off joinery and other custom timber products, we love working on projects that sit a little outside the box. If you have an idea for a unique timber feature in your home, we can help bring it to life with care, craftsmanship and locally sourced Australian timber.

We work with beautiful local hardwood and feature timbers including Spotted Gum, Ironbark, Gympie Messmate, Silver Ash, Quandong, Queensland Maple and Silky Oak, as well as other species sourced from our region. Every piece of timber has its own grain, colour, character and story, which means every project we make is completely unique.

Our timbers are ethically sourced, either salvaged or sourced from local small-scale plantations that use selective harvesting practices to help preserve forests for generations to come. We mill our own timber onsite, giving us a deeper connection to each piece from tree to finished project. It also allows us to carefully select timber for quality, character, stability and suitability, making the most of each log and preserving more of its natural beauty.

Every custom woodshop project is handmade by skilled local craftspeople and joiners in our Gympie workshop. Whether it is a small shelf, a statement timber screen or a completely custom feature piece, we bring the same level of care, attention and pride to every job.
